DJ: Tuuli Saksala

Tuuli Saksala (born 1976) has been working in the Finnish Broadcasting company since 1996. Her main interests are culture and music in this multicultural world we all live in. Saksala has studied ethnomusicology, cultural heritage and literature in Helsinki University and she has a Master of Musicology degree. She is also a musician, singing in finnish rhythm, reggae and afrobeat bands.
"For me radio is like a vehicle that takes me to places unknown. Listening to world music is like travellin' without moving, sounds from all over the world comes to you." At the moment Saksala has a weekly world music show "Keidas" (Oasis) in YLE Radio 1.
