Born 1956, Budapest, music journalist/writer, concert/festival organiser specialised in world music. Since 1990 he is the musical journalist of „Magyar Narancs” (political & cultural weekly magazine), since 2000 he is the artistic director of Sziget Festival’s World Music Stage. He started his first world music radio program in the late nineties („Hídavatás” – Radio Bridge). Between 2009 and 2013 he edited the world music program called „Passzport” on the public radio channel MR2. From 2014 he started a new world music program called „Érintés” on Radio Q, later on Civil Rádió. He has written seven books (four on music including the only one Hungarian book about world music).

He was the co-director of music documentary films (about Kolinda, Tamás Cseh, The Klezmatics, etc) and the editor-producer of several CD compilations. He won the following awards and prizes: „For The Parallel Culture” (2005, from Mediawave Festival), „Appreciation for the activity for world music in Hungary” (2006, from the Minister of the Cultural Ministry of Hungary), „Golden Cross Award Of The Hungarian Republic” (2006, from the President of the Republic Hungary).
